CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA -- Integrated Photonics Technology (IPITEK), a leading designer, developer, manufacturer and supplier of Video-Optimized Intelligent Broadband Networks, announced today that it will demonstrate a number of new products designed to maximize bandwidth at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) Cable-Tec Expo, June 24-27 in Philadelphia, PA. Among the products featured will be IPITEK’s new state-of-the-art Advanced Services Transport (AST) Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) system, the SONET compliant MSP-220T Pro Video multiplexer model line-up, and its proactive monitoring tools for the 10 Gigabit MSP-10GE Ethernet Platform.
At the Expo, IPITEK will demonstrate how their new AST platform allows users to optimize the performance of existing networks and rapidly deploy the new architectures and services required to meet the continuing expansion of standard broadcast, narrowcast, and data and voice services. The company will also feature its dual bi-directional Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) standard component video links to its MSP-220T Pro Video multiplexer model line-up, offering link efficiency, low-latency, low jitter, transparency, and carrier class loopback testing and monitoring to the video signals traversing the synchronous network. Finally, IPITEK will demonstrate to attendees how its MSP-10GE Ethernet Platform’s advanced proactive monitoring tools assist cable and data communications distributors in overseeing the health of their networks by helping them to anticipate and remedy problems before they affect network service.
“Today, video accounts for a 60% share of all Internet traffic, and with the demand for enhanced digital video services exploding at such a rapid pace, carriers are looking for ways to win the distribution race without spinning their wheels,” said Michael Salour, chairman and chief executive officer of IPITEK. “Our cutting-edge, carrier class end-to-end optical video transport products are designed to help companies manage and expand their broadband networks as their needs evolve, and we look forward to demonstrating our new product features at SCTE’s Cable-Tec Expo.”
