Michael
M. Salour
Chairman & CEO
Michael Salour is
the founder of IPITEK and serves as the Chairman of
the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Salour has over
25 years of experience in developing and commercializing
leading-edge technologies in the fiber optics and
communications industry, including both products and
telecommunications networking services. Dr. Salour
founded TACAN Corporation in 1982 for the purpose
of developing proprietary technologies through a growth-oriented
business firm. Since 1982, he has built several highly
successful corporations through an internal growth
strategy and also successfully completed several key
acquisitions and spin-offs.
Dr. Salour also founded,
and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer,
of Linkatel Communications, Inc., a developer of competitive
local telecommunications networks (CLECs). Linkatel
created and managed several successful partnerships
with major communications and media firms, including
the Providence Journal Company, Time Warner, and The
Copley Press. Linkatel's high-speed optical networks
were successfully built and activated in 1995, serving
the San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles metropolitan
areas. The networks were sold in 1996 to two major
broadband telecom providers, resulting in a substantial
return on investment for Linkatel and its partners.
In 1994, he acquired a division of Honeywell, and
successfully built it into a leading supplier of components
and sub-systems for Fly-by-Light technologies, optical
networking and Data Link technology for mobile platforms,
and other classified products and services for secure
communications, which was subsequently sold with substantial
returns in 2003 to a major US Defense & Aerospace
corporation.
With over 16,000 hours
of logged flight time, Dr. Salour holds Airline Transport
Pilot License from the US Federal Aviation Administration,
with type rating certifications in various Corporate
/ Business Jets and a variety of large transport category
aircraft including DC-3, DC-9, DC-10, B-727, B-737,
and B-747 airliners. He also holds Flight Engineer
(turbo Jet), Flight Instructor, and Instrument Flight
Instructor certifications from the FAA.
Prior to founding
TACAN and Linkatel, he held a variety of research
and teaching positions and professorships at Harvard
University, Imperial College of Science and Technology,
and Massachusetts Institute of Technology ("M.I.T.").
In 1980 he was awarded an Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship
from the A.P. Sloan Foundation, and in 1981 he was
awarded the Esther and Harold E. Edgerton Chaired
Professorship at M.I.T. Dr. Salour has more than 51
publications in refereed journals and holds 14 patents
in electro-optic and fiber-optic technology.
Dr. Salour holds a
B.S., with Honors, in Engineering Physics from the
College of Engineering at the University of California
at Berkeley, an A.M. and a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard
University.

John
C. Bellamy
Senior Vice President, Telecom & Information
Services
Dr. Bellamy is one
of the world's foremost authorities in digital telephony.
During the past two decades, his book on the subject
has served as a vital resource in many research laboratories,
universities, and major institutions around the world.
The latest edition of DIGITAL TELEPHONY is translated
into several languages including Japanese and Russian.
It is widely used as prime source of information on
how modern telephone networks are designed and implemented
within the entire telecommunications industry worldwide.
With almost 20 years
of association with IPITEK, Dr. Bellamy brings valuable
expertise to support IPITEK's broad customer base.
Before joining IPITEK, Dr. Bellamy spent many years
at Rockwell International, Arthur A Collins Inc.,
Collins Radio Company, and several other corporations
spanning telecommunications networking, advanced microwave
radio system design, switching system design and analysis,
and CPU memory system design.
Dr. Bellamy has a
B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University
of Wyoming and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University
of Arizona. In addition to his industrial experience
he has lectured as an adjunct professor in the electrical
engineering department of Southern Methodist University
where he taught courses in telecommunications and
computer programming.

William
J. Moore
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Mr. Moore has 30+
years of experience in Sales and General Management.
From 1988, he held a number of positions with Ortel
Corporation including VP of Strategic Business Development,
VP & General Manager of the Broadband Business
Unit and VP of Worldwide Sales. Prior to joining Ortel,
Mr. Moore held various positions in Sales and Marketing
management with Hewlett - Packard.
Mr. Moore holds a
BSEE and an MS in Operations Management.

Luis
Figueroa
Vice President, Advanced Systems
Dr. Luis Figueroa is responsible for
the integration of R&D into both Defense and Commercial
product lines at IPITEK. Dr. Figueroa has an extensive
technical and management background in Advanced Systems,
which encompasses work on RF systems, IR sensors,
Multi-Level Security (MLS), opto-electronic components,
and communication systems (including RF, Laser, and
fiber based. He also has substantial experience in
satellite laser communication systems, modeling and
simulation, and technology risk reduction.
Previously, Dr. Figueroa spent 20
years serving in various technology positions at the
Boeing Company. In his last assignment at Boeing he
served as Director for Technology Integration for
the Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Advanced Systems
organization. In that capacity he managed the R&D
integration of internally developed technology within
the various IDS business segments. Dr. Figueroa also
served in various technology positions at Hughes Research
Labs and TRW Electro-Optics Research Center. In additional
to his experience in industry, Dr. Figueroa has held
staff positions at North Carolina State University
and the University of Florida, where he was a tenured
Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department.
Dr. Figueroa has published over 40
technical papers in scientific journals and has been
awarded 11 Patents. In 1985 he received the US Government
Excellence Worldwide Award for his team's work in
the area of high power laser diodes. In 1992 he received
a Boeing Annual Invention Award, and in 2000 he received
the Hispanic Engineering National Achievement (HEENAC)Award
for Technical Achievement. He received BS, MS, and
PhD degrees from the University of California, Berkeley.
He is Senior Member of IEEE and a member of SPIE and
AIAA.

Allen Pogeler
Vice President, Corporate Planning
Allen has a broad background and experience in finance, engineering, manufacturing and marketing. He has worked in corporations such as Aerojet General, SAIC, and Computer Science Corporation, with focus on corporate planning and analysis in technologies such as medical devices, electronics, defense, software and semiconductors, and has performed a number of roles, including CFO, and general manager.
Allen holds a B.S. and MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. |
